Kaiser Permanente

We have worked with Kaiser Permanente as an accessibility consultant since 2001, providing plan review services, inspections, training sessions, podcasts, and as-needed accessibility consulting. USAC has surveyed over 20 million square feet of existing facilities and is involved in many new construction projects across the United States.

University of California, Los Angeles

USAC is an on-call and as-needed accessibility plan review consultant for UCLA. We provide over the counter and extensive plan review services ranging from 1,000 to 1,000,000 square feet. Multiple reviews are consistently provided on a weekly basis.

San Diego International Airport

USAC works with the San Diego International Airport Authority and the outlying facilities owned by SDIAA to ensure compliance with the federal ADA standards and California Building Code requirements. We have reviewed policies implemented by the San Diego International Airport Authority and created a comprehensive transition plan for their use which is updated on a scheduled basis.

University of California, San Francisco

USAC is committed to a multi-phase project to survey all the UCSF campuses across California to produce a comprehensive barrier database of the paths of travel for barrier removal purposes. The reports are complete with possible solutions, cost estimates, location code plans, and photographs. USAC also provides CASp plan review services for UCSF Campus and UCSF Health projects.

Trammell Crow Residential

USAC provides accessibility compliance services for the Texas-based Trammell Crow Residential under the apartment chain “Alexan”.  We review plans for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, California Building Code Chapter 11A, and Fair Housing Act. We carry out inspections of the buildings as they progress through construction to assure that accessibility was achieved upon occupancy. 

Loma Linda University Medical Center

USAC conducted an accessibility study for the entire university medical center. The surveys detailed barriers found that were out of compliance with the ADA and CBC in the existing facilities and USAC also provided as-needed consulting services, plan review and construction inspections for the newly completed medical center.

Sutter Health

USAC serves as an accessibility consultant for Sutter Health providing plan review services, as-needed consulting, barrier removal inspections, real estate surveys, and project monitoring across all services areas on the west coast. We review plans for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and applicable state building codes.

University of California, San Diego

As part of a multi-phase project to create an updated exterior campus transition plan for the UC, San Diego Campus USAC surveyed the campus and delivered a comprehensive database barrier report of the university’s exterior paths of travel. USAC also provides existing condition inspections and plan review services for projects on campus.

Union Bank

USAC was retained by the legal counsel of Union Bank to provide a self-evaluation and transition plan for the portfolio of this financial institution. Upon completion of each phase of facility evaluations, an analysis was done by our firm to aid in programmatic solutions for barrier removal, as well as documentation in the overall corporate transition plan. In addition to creating a corporate wide transition plan, we have helped with the self-evaluation of the company on a branch-by-branch basis.

City of San Diego

USAC surveyed 185 city-owned facilities for compliance with the federal ADA standards, California Building Code requirements, and City of San Diego design standards. The barriers found were documented in a comprehensive database which generated reports complete with solutions, cost estimates, and photographs.

Evans Hotel Group

USAC provides as-needed plan review services to this family of resort hotels. Our services also include inspections, consulting, plan reviews and training sessions on a continuous basis.

Scripps Healthcare

USAC has provided existing condition inspections and plan review services for Scripps Healthcare on many projects across the southern California service area.

Unified Port District of San Diego

USAC surveyed all nine Port Districts for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and California Title 24. We have served as the accessibility consultant for many alterations and new construction projects.

Genentech

USAC was retained to survey the campus for this leading biotechnology company. We surveyed all the exterior routes from the public right of way to the entrance(s) of each building, including accessible parking. We also provide plan review services on an as-needed basis.

SeaWorld/Aquatica/Discovery Cove

USAC was retained by this animal interaction theme park to survey the various portfolio of theme parks in California and Florida. We surveyed the parks in their entirety including a review of tours, ride features and interaction experiences. The report of our findings is an active transition plan that is updated as new projects are being developed.

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles

USAC provided an existing condition inspection of the medical care facilities, parking structures, work areas, and childcare facilities on this campus to develop a thorough transition plan for barrier removal.
